At Ash Bank Garage we can help identify and trouble-shoot potential issues using our state of the art diagnostics equipment. All cars are now fitted with computers and a myriad of technology to run and monitor the internal workings of the vehicle. One of the most important functions these computers provide is ensuring your car is operating within the manufacturers parameters; this helps to ensure the engine, safety systems (ABS, Anti-Slip etc. etc.) are all operating correctly and safely. Most people usually only become aware of the functions of these computers when one of the fault warning indicators illuminates on the dashboard. Our Qualified technicians are on hand to read the fault codes being displayed, carry out in depth diagnosis and to provide help and advice to resolve any issues found.

Ash Bank Garage can get you driving safe and legal on the road.

Did you know that many vehicle manufacturers recommend replacing a tyre with a tread of 3 millimeters, as below this depth stopping distances start to dramatically increase. As well as the minimum tread depth, it is also important to make sure that your tyres are free of any other defects. Lumps, bumps and bulges could mean the tyre is structurally damaged, while any cut or tear bigger than 25mm, or 10% of the tyre’s width, can mean your tyres are not road legal. The same applies if any part of the tyre's ply or cords are exposed.

For peace of mind, call into Ash Bank Garage for some friendly expert advice and ask for your FREE tyre check.

Car air con needs regular maintenance to ensure that it is functioning as efficiently as possible. You may not be aware that over 10% of air con gas permeates from the air con system every year. This means that it may not work as well as it should. This service is not part of routine vehicle servicing so if your vehicle is more than 2 years old it's probably due for a recharge.
